Just as I had expected with the PSP

There's already a problem going around with the PSP. The Dead-Pixel.

Not that I was going to get it, but I wouldn't anyways now. One pixel might not seem like a lot, but it is. I had the PS1 (the portable, battery powered version of PS) with a folding LCD screen, portable speakers, the works. The LCD screen had one pixel that was always light, and it was extremely obvious and distracting. I ended up selling the whole system for 30 dollars, and the only thing the guy asked me before buying it was "why is there a white dot right there?"

the DS on launch has, and still has dead pixel problems. its not a new, all LCD have this problem. Nintendo's policy is better though

Whew, at least someone has some sense. It's just a fact of life for LCD's.

Just buy a replacement policy with it. Return it later when the price goes down and that'll cover your losses and then some .

Brand new DS I recieved after playing 1 hour of Metroid, I have this problem.

i have 1 white pixel on my screen. doesnt bother me much.

but.. even with that one white pixel, as i was watching the DVD that came with it, i kept on staring at the one pixel..it annoyed me. its in the lower left portion of the screen, about halfway up.
