Started on my 13th birthday with some friends. We were all afraid of getting caught, but we didn't have a lighter, so we'd have to light the cigarettes off of my friend's electric toaster oven, push them on to that till they caught, run outside, and start dragging on them as much as possible so they stay lit.
They were Camel Wides too, so it was a frigging pain in the ass to keep them lit using that ****ing thing.
We were too noob to think of puffing in to get more oxygen to it and make it burn better.
Mostly to see what it was like, and why everyone did it. There was a little peer pressure involved because my friends were doing it, but it was primarily out of curiosity.
I smoked regularly for a few years after that, then did it on and off, picked it up again heavily, and I haven't smoked since I was 19.
I've done a few drags here and there, perhaps because it honestly is relaxing in a way, but I haven't actually bought a pack of cigarettes for two years now.
