Not sure if these have been posted, but digging around blizzard.com i went to the employment section, on the right, they have a list of available jobs:
now lets look at something:
every job has one of two things in the listing: either only a description of the job, OR a description of the job + the game its for.
Now, why would they not tell you what game it was for for every game? well theres 3 possibilities:
1. The job is for an unanounced project
2. The job is for multiple projects work
3. The job is not based on any projects, but instead company work
So, lets look at positions we know for a fact will be going for specific game projects, Artists.
they have artist/programers listed for world of warcraft and starcraft 2, so we rule those out, as we know those are only working for those games...
but theres still positions for unkown games... so lets look at those.
With a simple look at the Artists section, there are 10 total jobs offered
Now, filter out the ones with games next to them, as we know exactly what game the job is for...we are left with 6 Job openings
And now you take a look at those:
theres two types, one that gives a simple description:
"Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an exceptionally skilled Lead 3D Character Artist for an unannounced PC project."
and one that gives a bit more information:
"Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of Diablo and Diablo II, is looking for a lead 3D environment artist skilled at creating models and texture maps for both architectural and natural environments"
In total, out of the 6 positions without a game connected to them, there are 4 that specifically point out Diablo 1 and 2.
that is obviously a position for the Diablo team.
coincidence? i think not.
This is hard proof that they are working on 2 seperate games (at least)
this rules out eveyrone whos been saying "yeah theyve been hiring, but it was obviously for sc2/wow expansion) because the games are NOT connected to these positions.
This also proves that there is at least 2 teams working on 2 games, and one is the diablo team, which is something ive argued with people about for a while now.
if you read past posts ive made, ive pointed to other proofs that blizzard has admited to working on 2 projects still, one unanoucned with no information other than its a new franchise, and another that is only told as being worked on by "Team 3" and is not Starcraft or Warcraft related.
Conclusion:
-the complete blank positions are for the new franchise
-the ones stating Diablo information is the game not connected to SC/WC
now, im not saying either of htese are coming anytime soon...but i AM saying, both are coming.
