A few days ago I encounter a real jerk on bnet. Tell me if what he says is true, even though I already think I know the answer. Anyways, I entered a game called Arctic gear, since I had 2 pieces of arctic items to trade, and found out he had nothing good to offer. Since I'm a nice guy, I gave it to him for free anyways. Now, the guy asks if he could see what I'm wearing, and I show him. I had Cleglaw's Brace set, Angelic Mantle and Halo, and Nigelring with a 8 to all resistance amulet. After he's seen my gear, he challenges me to a duel. I never dueled before, so I decline, even though I'm lvl 28 and he's only lvl 13. I'm pretty sure he's wearing Sigon stuff, because I can tell by how he looked. Anyways, he co-orced me through time, and I finally accepted. He started off by shooting arrows at me and strafing around, I Charged him once, Zealed once, and he was nearly dead. After that, he ran back to town, and I let him live of course. Once he got to town, I said, "Satisfied?" To which he replied, "I'll be right back." He comes back with a lvl 31 Paladin and says he has better stuff than me. He shows me his equipment, and a couple of other items. One of which, was a Kinemil's Awl Giant Sword that was better than mine. I said I liked his sword, and I wanted to trade. He said, let's duel again first. I wanted the Giant Sword, so I said fine. When I entered the blood moors, he already had like a dozen hammers flying around him. I waited until he ran out of mana, and charged him followed by zeal. He started zealing me and we played shot for shot basically. I ended up killing him and taking his ear, and I asked him if we could trade now. He told me that I cheated, and I couldn't have the sword. How the hell did I cheat you may ask? According to him, you cannot use any potions of any type while you are dueling. Even a newb like me can tell that was pure bs. In all the duels in all the realms, no one uses potions while dueling? After I gave him 2 Arctic gear items for free, he wouldn't trade me his giant sword. He just said, duel me again and you can win it. I already beat him once, and he told me we could trade after, so he lied to me once and plans on doing it again. If he won, he'd just try to piss me off, and if he lost, he wouldn't give me the sword either. So I just threw his ear around until I was satisfied, then I left. Tell me, is it true you cannot use any potions while dueling? I'm no rocket scientist, but didn't he drain his mana with Blessed Hammer in the beginning, and used a hell of a lot of zeal after. None of his equipment had mana stealing abilities. So if you cannot use any potions of any kind, why did he use his mana potion? Also, I saw him heal while I attacked him, either he had hardcore life stealing equipment, or that guy was a prick. Anyways, let me know your thoughts, or share any stories that involved jerks, especially ones that get free set items and then piss on you afterwards. (P.S. Karma does care because after that, I entered a game and this guy gave me an Isencart's case, a Milabrega's Rod, and a Milabrega's Orb for free ^^ So it wasn't too bad, since I still have that jerks ear and better set items.)
