Jamella Editor problem opening characters frm LoD

I just downloaded Jamella's DII editor, and it won't open any of my characters for Lord of Destruction.

I get the following error message:

"Corrupt filed [sic] entered in save game file! (@ offset 0)"

What am I doing wrong??? The site I downloaded it from said that it would work with LoD characters!!!

I hope you know that this Editor is only for single playing characters not for Battle Net ones.

I realize that. My computer is not fast enough to play on the internet, so all of my characters are single player. It still won't open them.

the same thing happens with me....the corrupt message thing comes up....i've downloaded it from 4 different sites figuring maybe one site had a mess up on the program but all of them do not work!.....what gives?

Jamella doesn't work with 1.10.

dunno but u can still use shadowmaster with 1.09 , and btw If u get that error message , u re char is corrupted or in use , i get it very often too but when i restart my comp it opens the d2s files very well and i get no errors.

I get the message only with Jamella. When I open up other editing programs (D2Edit.exe), the program works just fine. LOL I now have a level 1 necromancer who can raise 30 skeletons and 30 skeleton mages. Talk about overkill!!! haha

It could be a few things. Have you gotten any hacked items from anyone for the character cause jamella is real picky and not all atributes work on it. It also helps hacking a character if you make a fresh one then play normal till you level him then hack him. DO NOT TRY AND HACK HIRELINGS, won't ever work. If not then when you open jamella up does it give you a beta message and telling you to back up your characters. Make sure your path goes to your diablo2lod save folder wether it's in programs or games folder. If I am missing on all fronts fill me in a little more about the problem.

Hmm...so the error msg "Bad #($)%&@$(%*" $%()#&$%(*@& as in hireling, character, etc are from the merc??? WOw...

Or just use the Revertto109.bat that came with 1.10????
