hey guys what kind of armor w/ 3 sockets should i get in order to imbue them for an enigma?

Is it available in npc's??

also,

what base defense does it have to have?

You can't (as far as I know) by an eliete 2 soketed armor from NPC's that isnt magical.

I'd use Archon Plate.

Remember: 3 soketed non magical and don't forget the order: Jah Ith Ber. I'd hate to see those 2 runes go to waste.

Make sure you don't put them in a magical, rare, unique, or set item. The item name has to be grey.

And make sure you put the runes in the item in this order:
1. Jah
2. Ith
3. Ber

And you can put it in any defense armor, though if you want high def low str requirement armors use a dusk shroud or something.

Armor depends on how your character is laid out. I would suggest a Mage Plate (55 strength), and pretty good defense), as opposed to an archon plate (106 str I think?). It's all up to you. If you already have the strength, go Archon. If you are going to rebuild your novanec, go Mage plate, and build your character / stats about it.

Larzuk wont sell non-magical 3 soketed archon plate. or ANY 3 sokjeted non-magical elite armor at that.

Your best bet is to find it. Hell Cows usually is good. Otherwise just clearing all of Act5 will almost guarentee it.

Or pit runs, mind you. They don't always drop godly stuff, but I've done about 5 runs, and found 3/200 strokes, an Eth CB, and lots of other goodies for me to use (crafting).

when you do one socket quest with normal item (I.E. SUPERIOR ARCHON PLATE) it gives the item maximum socket.. which is 3...

since max socket for thosei tems are 6, yea just use socket quest if you find JUST superior eth zerker/cb (without any sockets) itsdamn too stupid to just let one of those go really IMO.
