I recently was in a car accident. The officer DID NOT site me for anything. there was a car in my lane and i steered into the ditch instead of hitting him head on and possibly gettin hurt badly. the other guy ran away.
now my parents said that is the insurance counted this accident against me (because they had to pay to repar my car) i would get grounded, if the insurance did not, then i would not get grounded.
and if i get grounded, they said it would be for however long the insurance raises my rates, which would be 34 months!!
now remeber i did not get a ticket. it was unavoidable and could have been alot worse.

now do u think i should get grounded for 3 friggin years??

No, that isn't right at all. I would probebly move out and get a job and pay my own way. Do good and school and get some scholorships.

Your parents are blaming the whole thing on the wrong person. Don't let them "ground" you, go on doing what you normally did before. When they tell you "you can't do that" then just tell them it wasn't your fault. Then even if you are still grounded they can't do squat about it, just make sure to hide all of your stuff so they can't take it away.
