Is there anyway to play LoD without a disk in the drive ??

I would like to play LoD on my laptop at work, but I don't want to carry the disk around with me. Is there anyway to load the game without having the disk in the drive ??

Yes. There's no cd hacks and the like these days. I'm not sure where you would go about getting one though.

you need d2 loader and 3 files from your cd. you need d2xmusic.mpq d2xtalk.mpq and d2xvideo.mpq from your cd. copy those three files and move them to your diablo 2 directory and you should be able to play without the cd.

i think you are still susposed to have a cd in your drive for the no cd hack, just doesnt need to be the d2 cd, any old one will do. with no cd you get an error when starting, you can just click cancel a few times for it to go away and still will work fine

No. there is a program that requires no CD. my exchange did it with UT2K4 and farcry to name a few. Ill ask him when he comes home.

just go to gamecopyworld.com and dl the no cd file. They have no cd files for most games.

wait. i found the name. go to www.click-now.com and then look for alcohol 120%. thats a no cd hack (im pretty sure). then download the free trial for a month. after the month, repeat and you have a good no cd hack for free. only problem is you have to re download it every month.

Thats just a cd drive emulator, like daemon tools. It won't read the image when a game starts and needs the CD inserted.
