Is there any way I can learn how to micro better than just playing a game and trying to learn how?

Sorry but watching and without applying what you learn wont help you to have good micro. Like the best is to move away every injured unit on orange hit points and you will learn to do it well when you practice more.
To move away heroes, to stay away from melee units when you have ranged, so that they wont slay all your ranged.

You could always practice hand eye coordination playing games in the arcade..

Alright I'll go for that then. I'll just have to practice it more, I'm getting better at it. Thanks for the help.

your sugar level and other factors can help apm. i have found out that by drinking coffee loaded with sugar and downing a coke afterwards really helps out, especially with really fast music.

wcreplays has determined that socks are a huge factor as well...

Hey you just answered a question I wondered. So sometimes Im concentrated and win or lose making a good game with micro.. but when I'm absent minded I get mad when I lose from somebody I'm supposed to own.

So this is the recipe:
1. Drink coffee and then coke.
2. Smell dirty socks.
3. Listen to fast music (i really dont think it's good because you cant even get mad when you lose unexpectedly)

This explains why I lose after some glasses of milk. It makes you disconcentrated. :D

In the fact that you were playing Warcraft you were most likely alone since it's a single player game. Assuming that you were then you were probably (not) drinking on your own in your on free time outside of a social enviroment. Non-Social drinking can be considered a form of alcoholism. I suggest you seek help.

Play microwars. That always helps. Fun too. You can't learn micro without playing the game, however. That's like learning to play basketball without a basketball and a goal.

for better micro i suggest...

1) Make good use of the Alt key.
Run low hp units back, if your opponent decides to chase you get free attacks on them.
2) Learn advantages/disadvantages of armor/attack types.
Kill the easiest things first
3)If you have casters, USE THEM!
I've seen many replays of people w/ master sorcs and they just sit there and cast slow, same w/ witch docs, if you have them, use them.

Its just something that builds over time. Micro is the essence of skill in warcraft and the best way to build skill is to practice.

There is no quicker way, sorry.

Yeah, I've learned how to get gradually better by using the Alt key and moving them back and stuff. I won a game because of good micro. :)
