Is there a way to lower start up programs?

If you are talking about disable programs that start up when you turn on your computer... yes there is.

Do 'Start->Run->Type 'msconfig'->Start Up->Uncheck the boxes that you don't want running->Apply or OK->Restart'

1. all programs -> autostart folder
2. what axl said
3. execute regedit, go
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\microsoft\currentversion\run and the same in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

Haha you guys are so funny. Ok here the simple way;

Press 'start' then go to 'programs'. Remove anything from the startup you dont want running when you logon. Then open your desktop folder. Right click 'my computer' and open manage. Disable anything you dont need.

Yeah Prodigious, but that doesn't stop everything. Take Norton for example, you will not find that in that folder, you will only be able to remove it by msconfig
