Is it possible?

For the current weapons and techniques we imploy today in the army, CIA and other branches with military firepower to affect Diablo's Demons? If a rift oepned and demons started coming out, ones from all acts, do you think we could actually destory them, on a realistic level? A tank shell could probably splatter a good group of fallen, but then the shaman would revive them, and it would be in vain. A frost blast from an oblivion knight could probably destory a tank. Do you think its possible?

By realisitc I meant, ''Not killing your own men in the process by being a nazi and launching nuclear weapons.'' But a nuke would work, if you wanted to lose millions of your men at the same time.

so why not use GUNS, they hafta do more than those lil arrows, and if all else fails, wouldnt the hero's come through the rift too? we could just outfit them with super technology heavy weaponry and let the PWN the demons

You just said arrows could kill Mephisto, then you said you wanted to outfit the heroes with our technology to kill them even better? Funny guy.

Their weaponry is charged with magic and the like. Sure a single Amazon could wipe everything out with a few Multi-shots, but we are talking about standard army vehicles, guns, rockets, etc, versus the legions of hell. So, try again please.

I would have to say yes. A zon maybe able to kill meph with bow and arrows easily. But you say:

No, it isn't. ****ing multi shot only does 75% od damage a regular arrow does. Imagine a ****ing machine gun.

Being realistic, a machine gun would do more then multi-shot. I was mocking him, because he contradicted himself. A tank shell would probably do less then a ghoul casting meteor on a small unit of troops.

You need to factor in spells too, though. I'm sure it would be a hard battle on both sides, since men in the army wont be used to fire that travels along the ground, incinerating their comrades in seconds, and the demons wont be used to high powered bullets ripping through their brains.

the meteor isnt that big, its around the size of ur char, maybe 1m wide?

thats still enough to destroy a tank and make a fairly large crater depending on its speed + trajectory

it has silvester stalon in it,he can drive it in slo mo yelling ADRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread is stupid. Obviouslly the damage in Diablo II isnt realistic, there is no way a bow and arrow or a stupid sword would slay the 3 greatest deamons of all time. I dont care what you say.

This is quite the interesting hypothetical. Personally, I think the demons would come out on top. Unless the army could somehow contain these rifts and set up some kind of massacre field, loaded with cannons, missile launcher, S.W.A.T strapped with S.M.G's, that kind of thing.

yeah if they'd use snipers and aim at the heads of our fellow diablo2 monsters and heroes they will all perish unless a necro mancer could revive all the casualties and cast bone wall to create a protective fortress and later casting poison nova therefore killing all enemies in the area ... then u say GG NO RE to the us forces...
