ive been readin a bunch of strategy guides, and i keep noticing the standard stats

str-just enough for items
dex-just enoguh for max block
vit-everything else
ene-none

is this really necesary anymore? im pretty sure anyone whos played diablo for more than a month will understand that this is pretyt much required for a good build. Unless ur making a titan sorc or something unique like that? But this is just me bitchin bout crap... lemme kno wut ya think

PS- plz dont say the guides are designed for newbs cuz the usual item suggestions are for the wealthy

Alot of newbs are weathly as well. And newbs can replace sertain gear with close gear that isnt quite as expensive. Its just a standard part of a guide.

Sorc's do need some energy, but the rest of the char's do not. Every sorc i made (pre 1.10) i made sure it had at least 50-60 energy base.

i dont put any mana in because i always put 2 sojs on a sorc, or if shes a mfer, 2 nagels, but anyway, the sojs boost her mana by 50%, and thats a LOT of mana...

I ALWAYS try to go with base energy. I'll usually end up with a crapload of +skills and a high warmth which prevents me from being cursed as well as an insanely high regeneration.

It's still necessary in a way. Going along the sorc example, energy's not the only issue. I generally don't put anything into dexterity because I usually give them a staff rather than standard weapons for skill and strat increases. It's probably a stereotype way of creating characters, but heck.
