Is it just me or had BF been down for awhile?

Ya...A few months ago, whenever I tried to get on BF, I kept getting the page which said

"Battleforums is down for matinance, please check back later"

When I finally manage to get on to it, it looked like the BF community had just been going on-no problems...
Can some1 plx explain 2 me wat is going on?

What are you talking about? BF wasn't down at all. Something must be wrong with your computer.

To put it very shortly, Summit decided to screw around with the forums through our database. Exploiting the knowledge he aquired from being an admin, he mass changed everyone's user titles, avatars, and was able to edit anyone's posts as anyone, thus giving him practically unlimited control.

When Chrisuk found out what Summit was doing, he shut the forums down, and refused to host them any longer. It wasn't until Crooked bought the the forums, that we managed to come back online. Crooked managed to get the money together to buy the forums from chrisuk.

So right now we're completely free of any hindrances. Crooky owns the forums, so we finally have an active administrator running things, and while we still may have glitches here and there, they're being debugged.

You mean you thought that I was going to continue being active?

Ok I will be, but I was looking so forward to taking off for weeks on end giveing no warnings, and then coming back with a "Sorry m8 I was on holiday".

Yes, I know that it's closed, but in response to your comment: the domain isn't completely back up for most people temporarily. When it does come back, we'll be mass emailing members to let them know that we're back on a more stable level.
