Is it good to have a NECRO use a crossbow?

why? with a crossbow you can fight and still be out of danger

Wands can give you spell benefits, allowing you to cast higher level spells from a distance. Using a cross-class weapon like Crossbow won't work as effectively for you in general.

It's like a warrior trying to use a Katar, for the warrior, it has a Very Slow Attack speed. For an Assassin, it has Very Fast Attack speed. This is based on class alone, stick with wands/dirks bro.

just trust us. there is no good way to use a bow on a necro.

think about it.

you have a necro lvl 80

his skellies do ...lets say...300 damage now.

you have a bow that does (lets say...) 200 damage

you also have a +2 skills / 20%Faster Cast rate wand (which isnt hard to find)

your 2 options:

1. wear a bow: you now have no shield, your necro is doing around 300 damage, and your in nm/hell...what kind of damage is that? good or bad? plus you have to have greata iming to actually hit your target if its moving.

2. wear a wand: you now have +2 to all skills. including skelles and skelly masteriy. skele mastery will add 50 damage to your skeletins, and 30 to life (just guessing for an example) and addind 2 skills will give you 30 damage to each skele. you make 11 skeles total...each now has 380 damage each. plus they run after the enemy, and your away.

basically, yoru idea of "fighting and being safe" is exactly what is accomplished with a skelly necro.

Ya the one that sucks. I would never use it, but, if you were going to use a crossbow on a necro it would be the way to go.

But ya, dont use a crossbow. Use one of the many wands that are good for necros.

pus spitter is a coll looking crossbow i use it for my poison necro so i use blackbogs to hit (if i need to) and to power my poison nova once the guy is down to 1hp (expecially if he is a hammerdin and i cant get close to him) i use pus spitter to shoot his ass down (damn hammerdins their only weaknes is staying stationary hehehe, exept if they get nigma.... but than again u can run from them becouse they are not fast casting their hammers

If you build a summoner correctly, which is one of the easiest builds in the game, IMO, then you won't need to fight and you'll be waaay out of any danger. Or you could build the PSN or Bone necro easily too, and they are very effective.

Stick with the wands/dagger that are proven to pwn. And these are easy to find too.

1. Arm of King Leoric - insane for summoners
2. "White" - bone necros
3. Blackbogs dagger - great for PSN necros

That pus spitter is slow and you don't get the bonuses like those up top give you.

judging by the quote....he's saying it's pointless... depending on what kind necro u shouldn't use a xbow. a wand with skills and like homo or boneflame will add more skills and resistances than a +2 to necro skills.. ah thank you
