I'm having some second thoughts on this idea for D2 if I should come back, I've had many problems with my parents over this game. And it's almost made me go blind. I rather be playing games on my XBOX 360 and soon to come PSP : )

you should make the decision yourself. people here probably don't have the same kind of life so they can't really give you an opinion that's not bias. if you're worried about getting addicted, i'd say either don't play at all, or limit yourself to a certain amount of time per week to play, and always put real life priorities before the game.

Its a fun game. But it can eat your life away.
My advice is the same as Carbons. Dont waste your life away. Play a hour a day then go do something else.
I find it funner that way.

trust me, i used to be a ****ing d2 addict, i was on at least 8 hours everyday. (mostly because there was nothing better to do.) WoW is so much better than d2, if you're going to get addicted to a game, id go with WoW.

World of Warcraft is such a terrible game, I won't even explain it, it's a generic MMORPG! Not only that, you're paying to play that? I played it for six months, and half the time I spent just running in circles, it was BORING.

As for Diablo II, everyone leaves, comes back, leaves, comes back, just take a break if you think you're playing too mcuh. I wouldn't advise quiting outright as many people return in the following months and years.

(I've just started playing again, last time I played was 2003, before that was 2000)

I honestly believe D2's addictiveness goes away with the WoW Shadow nearby. :|
And WoW is the same thing really. If you have the stomach to keep going, you keep going. But this time, it feeds off a credit card every month.
