IP Bans?

I've heard talk of people buying new games from the store and finding that they did even their new cd keys did not work. Did Blizzard also ban IP's? wats the dealio?

Why would Blizzard ban their new CD keys? Thats basically spending money on a rock and trying to sell it back to someone.

To actually answer your question, they banned the CD keys of people that constantly used hacks, or were caught using the ever popular MapHack.
