IP Banned! Is blizz ip banning permenantly in 1.11?

I have been IP banned for spamming channels, its been about 24 hours now and the ban is still in effect.

Im not trying to whine and I know I did something to recieve these consequences, but do you think this ban will be permenant? I hope not, playing on proxies is no fun

Advice; simply reconnect to the net, getting a new ip. As I previously said, the idiots can't keep me ip banned for long. :tnt

He said he had a proxy so restarting the net won't do much for him. If I were you I'd wait another day and see what's up. I have heard that you can get longer ip bans if you try to login more.

When you reset the modem, it renews a lease on the same IP address, so I dont get a new one every time I reset the router or modem.

Wow. I use Bell Sympatico (reliable dial-up in my area) and as a moderator/admin can tell if they look at my ips logged on I've been on more than a few.

Do you guys use a client to do your spamming?

If so just get a netzero account or something and a modem. Dont use your main broadband connection to the spamming. Who cares if a dialup IP gets banned, just disconnect and re dial in and you're 90% certian to get a new one.

I dont even wanna spam anymore ... A few months ago (when the patch came out) I was positively sick of D2 because I played for 3 years off and on, but now all I wanna do is play HCL and get on the ladder
