Internet problems

Okay i was just playing some frozen throne and I started to lag. So then it disconnected me to the whole internet. Now it wont work I've looked and looked at the network card seein if any thing messed up and yes i run cable. I got a cox cable box and it says a okay on the little green lights it still doesnt work any one know of a solution?

Try restarting your computer for one. If that doesn't work, try reselecting your server USEast or w/e. If that doesn't work, try other servers.

Try those steps, and if you're still having problems I'll try to help you more.

all the green say good... you dont know how many times i restarted and its not just the game its the whole internet like aol.

Try pinging your IP address. See if your ISP is the problem.

Yeah i go to . prompt and try to release ip then renew but it wont renew or anything

edit: I used the same box on a different computer and it works fine

Contact your ISP, because it might be your modem that's the problem.

That could still be the problem, though. Happened to me once before. My upstairs computer worked, but mine didn't. :(

Oh, no, it is still here. I called my ISP, and there was a problem with my modem, and they fixed it.

I bought it does it cost more than 50 dollars to get a new one? I dont know nothing about cable modems

You can get them free (some deals at Circuit City) although they may not be the best.
