I found this out while mf'in with my h-din. here's what u do

1) equip a cta

2) take off a charm or item that lets you use the cta. the cta background should be red

3) push w and switch to another item then back to the unusable cta

4) battle orders is now available

5) seclect it to be dropped from the game

Well...idk, but it used to be that you could dupe stuff by killing the process and getting dropped, therefore keeping whatever you dropped before your char could be saved without it...

Idk if that works serverwise...

Only works if it actually rollbacks the character to the latest save, and not just drop you from game. And those exploits are VERY rare nowadays.

Thanks for the Info though ozzi56, will try it asap (if I can get myself to install d2)

Yeah, I know it works on TCP/IP, but I dunno if it ever worked onserver, I think because the server autosaves everything.

well d2 has always had autosaves, but that never stopped htings like the ALT + F4 rollback.

the thing is, if this works, there have to be 2 variables in place:

1. it has to actually roll you back
2. it has to roll you back without deleting the game [like alt F4 rollback did]

I always did the ctrl-alt-del > task manager > processes tab > end process with another person in the tcp/ip game. I brought the old char back in, picked up stuff, save/exit, come back and drop, repeat.

Too bad that doesn't really do anything but crash the game.
Blizzard finally caught up with the people. Warden screwed a lot and continues to, plus almost every duping method is gone. =\

When i did the glitch i was able to rejoin the game afterwards, so i guess no.2 is good. Though the odds of it rolling you back are not good

well, its worth a shot...id suggest doing the following:

1. get the character you want [person A] to test this with read. get an unidentified item [anything] and set a Scroll of ID next to it in your inventory.

2. have person B. create a game and does NOT move. no walking, no clicking chest. no nothing.

3. have person A. join it, same rule, dont move.

4. person A identifies item, then, AS FAST AS POSSIBLE does the drop trick you know.

5. check to see if person B is still in game, if so, that means the game 100% for sure stays open. join a new game. see if the item you identified is Unid again. if it is...then you just got a rollback method :)
