Installing LoD problems....

I just switched back to Diablo after a few years on WoW

I'm having trouble installing the expansion as i did the first time i installed it a few years back..it stops about 3 bars in on some music thing...

i was wondering if any one else was having these problems and what you did to fix them?

I read on the blizzards site to move a file and i did all that but now it just stops on a different part of the installation just a little bit farther

What condition are your disks in?
They might be scratched or smudged.
Try cleaning them off then trying again.

nah i got them professionally resurfaced

this same thing happened when i first bought the disk few years ago
i dont remember how i fixed it

i can only play regular D2 right now =\

I'm pretty sure you can download music.mpq and the other vital .mpqs off the internet. Other than that, the only other suggestion is to wipe them off (from the center to the outside).

I think getting something "professionally resurfaced" would cost more than buying a new/used cd (don't need the key) off amazon, by the way.

Put your cd's in, and copy + paste all the files to a folder of your choosing, and than run the installation from that folder. If you have no errors while copying the files off the cd's, than that eliminates the cd's being the problem. After you install if you run into an error, post back and here with the error, and we will be able to go further from there.

i cant find anywhere to download just the mpq files for expansion
