Hmm i was installing StarForge... and i extracted the files into the starcraft file. Then i decided i wanted to put them on the desktop, so i accidently moved the install.exe file. Then when i tried to move it back, it said:

Cannot Move INSTALL: Access denied

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and the file is currently not in use.

Then when i tried to delete it it said do u want to confirm and i said yes then it said:

Cannot delete INSTALL: Access denied

Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and the file is currently not in use.

-_- i dunno how you get rid of this. Ive tried reinstalling sc but it doesnt work. I accidently moved it into My Documents folder and now i have 2 Install.exe files. Not being able to fix this is really pissing me off. PLEASE if there are any computer experts out there that can help me out I'd REALLY appreciate it. Thx.

You should be able to copy it back into your SC file if move does not work.

Deleting a pesky file can sometimes be a pain in it's own right.
Try restarting in safe mode and delete, that sometimes helps.

Usually when I have a file that won't delete individually, I can delete the file it's in, taking it with the file.
But since you have it on the desktop your a bit limited, unless you make a second account name on the comp, then deactivate the old account and delete the dektop from that user name.
If you try this option, be sure to paste all your favorites, and documents, and such into the new account, and clean off all your old desktop before deleteing anything.
I know there are some DOS commands that may work, but DOS is a beast I do not play with if I can help it.

Knowledge knot of the day.... place as little as possible on your desktop directly.
But thats a lesson I don't always go along with myself.

Good luck

There is no Install.exe file in the StarForge package.

There is a Setup.exe...You don't even need to extract it to install.

Open StarForge.zip (from http://teamse.x-boxnight.com) in winzip, and click the "Check Out" button on the toolbar. It will extract it to a temp folder and run setup for you.

What you need to do it means the computer is using a file if happens sometimes try draging it into the folder instead of copying and pasting it should work or just reinstall SC ok.
