Well, programs are out their that will let you be admin... i think one is on a dutch site. i wouldn't use it, it is illegal... easiest way is to "dupe" people out of their user name and password. the password is easily retrieved from a friendly conversation like, "What do you like?" the person might respond with, "Trains." note:I don't easily fall for that....

network crashing is soooo easy. one virus will do the trick. fastest way is deleting a bunch of network drives.... this is mostly illegal, i just put the "legal" ways...

note: read 2600: the hacker quarderly... thats where i learned all this...

what OS is your school running on...here at my school we run linux, so its quite hard to hack around in. luckily I was giving the pass and shit for root and got administrative priviledges all because i'm good at securing the networks and configuring stuff and makins/fixing the servers, stuff most the othere techies don't have time for.

Windows 98, don't believe its SE.
BTW, viruses are too easy :)
(And theyve busted the privelages for deleting other drives.)

Novell sets up accounts on windows when you log on. Search on google for how to crack a sam file.

EDIT: I guess Win98 doesn't use sam files does it...

My school uses Norton too. It blocks out pretty much every site that doesn't have the word Education, school, or research in it. I would apprechiate how to get around this stupid thing. I think out school is running windows NT.

If you just want to be an ass find a deserted room with network access. Open up notepad and type:

:loop
net send * **** you all!
goto loop

Save it as a bat file. Run the bat. Leave the room.

Here's what I did on our Novell network (this probably won't work unless you can find a computer running 2000 or XP):
Our school has a TV studio class. The students in class get a password to a shared class account that basically has administrative rights on the computer to install/uninstall software. I got the password from a friend who was in the class and used it to install l0phtcrack on a computer that a real admin had logged onto. I saved the l0phtcrack session to a disk and took it to my house where I ran a bruteforce attack on the sam file. After getting the admin password I logged onto the network as him and found netware administrator. I changed the password, login restrictions, and access to drives.

Me and my friend found a guide on getting admin access to novell, but he lost it.

If I knew where he found it, I'd give it to you.

It was a good guide too :(

one thing to take note of... dont get caught.

l0phtcrack is know known as LC4 and it takes a fricken LONG time to crack it when your doing a brute force attack.

the same file is easy to get, thats the least of your problems. i suggets getting a thumb drive to store the sam file on.

i tried cracking my brothers xp password, and it took 5 days. one thing you might also try, is a fricken keylogger. it would be alot faster than trying to use LC4 with a brute force attack on a sam file. they make hardware keyloggers that plug in between the keyboard and the keyboard port. very small file size though, you would have to time it perfectly.
