Info Guy Need: Info!! (Black Terrain)

If any one knows How too get Black Terrain Plz Leave A REPLY!!! This is One of those thing i have to know!! I Need this information because i was thinking of making my own map with black terrain also i here that you can make the beacons in the ground or unselectable (You Know). Or acctual i would like too open a certain map in Guedit!! If you have any information at plz Reply!!

Yes, you must use GUEdit. Look in the bottom sticky, you can find the GUEdit download. You need JRE 1.0.2 to run it though. By the way, nice picture.

No i dont need Guedit i just need info on it and i want to know how to make black terrain without having to go to a stick By the way whats a sticky??

A sticky is a thread that always stays at the top. It is labeled "Sticky:". To make black terrain, follow the numbers.
1. Run GUEdit.
2. Open the map.
3. Go to "Edit Terrain"
4. Select "Starcraft.exe".
5. Wait.
6. Two screens should pop up.
7. Select the one with all the terrain options.
8. Click on the stripep red and black area.
9. Place it in the map and voila, black terrain.
10.When done, exit out of both screens. (NOT GUEDIT)
11.Press "Store Terrain"
12.Save it, and remember, you must manually put ".scx" at the end of the name, and you can't save over another map.

2. Please don't post the same question twice.
3. A sticky is a sticky. (uhhhh)

Other way to get black terrain:

1. Encrypt a map using SCM Toolkit
2. Open it in SCM Draft.
3. Chcek out all the black terrain!!!!
4. Save the map
5. Un-encrypt it.
6. If you did it all right, the black terrain shoudl stay on the map.

Oh my god Matrix u just made GUedit terrain edit easier for me (although i use SF). I used GUedit the hard, hard way. Wut i did was I extracted the pallete files from Stardat.mpq into the Guedit folder for using the edit terrain function. This is because when i press the edit terrain button i open the map im working on a second time instead of opening Starcraft.exe. Thats all.

PS. Use SF for black terrain (Starforge)

Oh, and also, I have no idea why, but to make GUEdit run faster in Edit Terrain mode, run Starcraft, then press alt+tab when it is running, (Just at the menu screen) and the editor will go much faster. BTW, your welcome I)eath_razor.

Yeah, when you click on the Edit Terrain button, It shows up a window that says:
Find Starcraft.exe

Once again, i'm used to being a mod. Next time please read the INFO etc. sticky near the top of the list. It'll make the mods job easier if you read information that is already out there.

Tassadar tells how to make black terrain in the INFO sticky.

just n case no one knew this u can make black terrain in ScmDraft by clicking in the blank white spaces under the terrain palatte thingy(only works on sum tileset)
