Indentifying Crash Source?

I have a map that plays fine until a certain point.

At first I thought it was associated with a unit, but I think I have eliminated that possibility.

Are there problems that are time orientated or connected that would cause a crash?

Thanks,

If you could upload the map and give a general description of when it happens, that'd make it a lot easier to figure out :)

Here is the Map and the Saved Game.

It crashes as the RED Troops move up the Valley.

Originally, I thought the Medic was somehow cause it, because it happens just as she crossed a certain point. I used Mind Control to stop it, so I do not think it is the problem.

I tried to upload the save file, even zipped it, but the form came back with "The Document Contains No Data". :-/

The valley, the troops are moving in, is the choke-point in front of the Protoss.

Thanks,

I must be missing something, because I don't see any medics, can't make any medics, and there aren't any trigger-created medics, plus I played the map without incident. So I guess I need exact steps on how to reproduce the problem.

Try zipping it again and uploading the zip file. If that doesn't work, get to the point right before it happens, quit, and save a replay. Replay files can be attached too.

Maybe Not.

My problem with the upload form is that the save file is too big, opps.

I am going to try playing from a slightly older save file, and see if it still crashes.

Maybe my problem is in the saved file?

Q#2 - Is there a way to display time played?

There's a few ways.

1. At the beginning, set the countdown trigger to a high time, like 3 hours. People can see how long they've played by how much time has passed.

2. Make a set of triggers which say how long it's been after so much time passes. Such as, a trigger that when Elapsed Time is 300 seconds, it displays the message "5 minutes have passed." Just make one for ten minutes, fifteen minutes, etc.

3. When the game starts, have a trigger set the countdown timer to 1 second, then pause the countdown timer. Now, have another trigger add 1 second to the countdown timer for every second that passes (just put a Wait between the Modify Countdown Timer and Preserve Trigger).

Any of those methods work for keeping track of time that's passed.

Still Crashes!

It appears to be a time or number of kills, points, etc. problem

Is there a list of limits for such items?

Also, there would not happen to be a limit on the size of the save file?

Tell me what you're doing to make it crash. If you just sit there doing nothing, will it eventually crash? And how long does it take? There aren't limits to time and points that I know of.

As for the filesize, I've seen maps that were over 3 MB and worked, so unless it's absurdly large, you shouldn't have a problem with that.

Maybe you saved, edited the map, and then loaded the same save from before the edit? I could foresee that having problems.
