Dark Templar has been added to the Protoss section of the Starcraft2.com site. Really, I have to say, he looks better than when he was first revealed...I kinda like him.

Thoughts?

Seems like their base damage wasn't affected (They tore those marines up easily). They look awesome, much better than expected.

I especially like how they look to the player controlling them.

Dts look so badass. Well, more so than they do in the original game. They move quicker, which is a plus. Dts seem to have gone back into tribal mode.(wearing trophy hyrdalisk jaws and such)

I think they look awesome. I think the shimmery blue look is how Protoss units appear when "visibly cloaked" as in under your control or within range of a detector. If you watch carefully, in the last little movie clip of them harassing the Protoss base, you can see a glimpse of what the new Observer looks like.

Actually i think the new DT looks horrible. It looked better when the blades were attached to there forearms. The blade concept only looks "cool", its supposed to be protoss tradition to have them at the foreams. Also the new dt looks kind of like a Demon hunter.

I actually don't mind the new Dark Templar, they are still cloaked and have high damage. All that is different is that they have a Daul-end Psi-scythe instead of arm blades. A somewhat more fitting weapon for a agility/stealth unit.

There aren't any stealth units in Wc3. You can use invis to make the unit stealth, but once it attacks something, it will be revealed.

It looks. interesting.

7/10 for appearance.

Still a bit too cartoonish, though.

I do not believe stealth units need carry a stick around instead of arm-blades. You know, just put the elongated stick with psi-scythe attached in my backpack. Nor does it look like it folds up.
