idiotic questions coming from a novice hacker/modder however you wanna look at it, please im dying to figure this out
i have the hero editor v0.80, (yeah the one from zonfire)
first : does it work for d2x v1.10?
second : where do i get heroeditor complete installation? it says i need it in hero editor's readme thing.
third : do i have to have downloaded it in a special directory? because it says to download it to c:/diablo/data/excel or something like that? i just put it in my mod file so will it still work?
fourth : is it says i need "setup.1st" "setup.exe" and "OS setup.CAB" is this true? if so where do i get them?
fifth : in d2sector (the website), i found necessary files for heroeditor,now, do i really need these? where do i put them?
sorry about all the questions im just a little frustrated. oh and the questions about where i need to put the files... well im thinkin that you need to put them in a special folder or something because where i have mine they wont work, or so it seems unless im missing files. ill ask about my other mods later but for right now im just trying to figure out how to make my editor work.
