Im back playing D2 LoD

hi all, after a long break 6-12mnths im back playing D2 and ive decided to start as a sorc, im unsure though of how to go about this, at first i though cold/lightning, then i thought only lightning, though after starting i see that lightning doesnt have 2 great spells sum are good, but i think that cold spell may be needed ( ive been told it takes a long time to be able to be powerful with both these spell lines) is it worth it?

or do you have any ideas on what else i could do with the sorc?

alright i just went to d2skills.com and found a nice lightning build, i went first get about 8lvs of warmth 5 lvs charged bolt max on chainlightning and lightning and lightning mastery then the rest fill up nova then if i manage any more i pump up charged bolt up as high as i can i need overall 108 skill points to do this (if everything is at max, xcluding warmth (stays at lv8))

though id like a good build of stat points atm im thinking

enough strength for my armor so about +2 each 2nd lv (eg lv 1 +2 str lv 2 +2 dex lv 3 +2 str)
enoough dex for my armor so about +2 each 2nd lv
vitality +2 each lv (till ive finished str/dex then +3)
energy +1 each lv (till ive finished str/dex then +2)

what do u think?

if that doesn't work for you, get this moved to the strategy and tactics forums and post more info on what you want, stats, skills, items

your pushing for 100+ skill points... dont. you'll have a hard time getting to over level 85 cause of exp drop. just max nova last, its gonna be your lease used skill

dont put any points in energy, but the rest of your stats are good

Yeah, just slap 20 in CB, L, CL, and LM. 1 in Teleport, 1 in Warmth, 1 in Cold Armor. All rest --> Nova.

Base Energy, ~50 str depending on gear (95 if you're going to use skulders/travs), base dex, and rest vita. Simple.

85 is easy in hell baal runs.
