although diablo has its own timeline and is not set in our world, the settings are parrelel to the lore and surroundings of early medevil.
making a game that has even good ideas related on the subject of modern lore and surroundings being affected by the world of diablo would not appeal to most. it has been proven, fantasy and modern surroundings is not a good blend.
