I have been playing D2 for years and I finally quit playing when eBay shut everyone down for selling.
Since I have nothing to do now and nothing to lose really I just wanted to take credit for something I wrote when I was 15 and for whatever reason is still floating around.
I wrote it in C++. It was one of my first projects. My character name was XSmoothCriminal on USEAST. My account name was silentknght_hoa and later, xscx_ssknight. The text in red was my last version. I was trying to make the text "You've been struck by a smooth criminal" flash across the screen but couldn't. I didn't know anything about DLL injection back then, so I couldn't hook the in game client-side print functions to make it work. I just never took out the text.
I remember that I was going to make the program load on startup and so I renamed it Kernel32.exe and put it in the System Root directory. I was going to make it report to a website so that whenever I sent the program a command it would drop a victim's items. I never got around to that part though.
I remember some of the other droppers made you drop stuff and then would shut your computer down. My first version did this but occasionally it would miss stuff due to lag and would shut down without me getting everything. For this reason I just made a continuous loop of trying to pick stuff up and dropping it in the top left of the screen. This made you continuously walk to the NorthEast of town and used to piss everyone off lol. It was great.
I named it sojfuse because it was the only way I could get people to keep their gear on before running it. I said it would fuse at random either the stats of your helmet, armor, or weapon to an SOJ. I told the victim I would provide the SOJ. I also told them that if you weren't wearing an item on all 3 of those armor positions, the SOJ would poof. Noone wanted that so they kept their stuff on
At any rate after I made this I moved on to writing a keylogger and stealing whole accounts. I now run d2gamehacks.com, and if anyone wants a cd key or something I have about 2500 so just post here. Here are a few:
