...The power of Tauren! Do you know just how incredible they are? I know I sound excited but there's a good reason. I tested their limits in raw fighting power against other melee fighters. I made a map(not a great one at all) just to test just how strong they are and the results were awesome. Seven fully upgraded tauren VS 72 fully upgraded footmen. Guess who won? The tauren won with 3 tauren to spare. Computer's tend to move when they are attacked to redirect attack to another, so made sure it was 2 computers facing off. 7 Tauren lined up... surrounded by 72 footmen, no escape... no need though, LOL. Test it out if you want, or I can send you the testmap.

Yeah. I mean, Tauren are strong, but footmen are weak. Try testing them against a unit that doesn't totally suck. Still, that is pretty impressive.

for sure, I did it against ghouls, huntresses, even grunts. After that i tried bears, aboms, and knights. Either way, Tauren impress a whole lot. When casters come in the picture, of course the results could be way different. Try cripple and howl level 3 together, and they don't have a way to dispel or redirect it... they're ****ed. 100% dmg reduction Hahaha.(well not quite... for balance reasons, but close enough)

i meant IF they dont have a way to dispel it or redirect it lol, yeah i play the latest version, there is always a counter strategy for any strat. I tried 20 knights against 8 tauren, the tauren won.

Tauren is the strongest land unit in the game, of course they are going to win. Just not again tier 3 air.

I wanna share the outcome of having chim support with some faerie dragons to tauren. Really makes them feel like 72 footmen.

I also wanna share the power of cripple to them. Tauren are really pitiful warriors with it on them.

[glow=black]Technically, every warrior is pitiful with Cripple on them...

Tauren + Walker is GREAT!

This would be nice too, although its unpratical...
1)Shaman Master Training
2)Witch Doctor Master Training
3)Spirit Walker Master Training
4)Tauren (full upgrades + Pulverize)

1)Bloodlust
2)Healing Ward (23 hp/sec ???)
3)Spirit Link
4)Ancestral Spirit

GOD, I honestly think that is just...wow

A few faeries would kill the shamans, plus damage the walkers and docs in that scenario. Magic damage too. But with strong support, that is difficult to take down.

They can just kill the healing wards since they have 5 hit points. Then, they can just dispell the Spirit Link (Dispell, Disenchant, Absorb Magic (Destros), Abolish Magic)

In a large scale battle, its hard to kill them or dispel them for that matter. Unless you got priests or sw.

That is also why I included the phrase, backup.

Tier 3 air again, is the problem. The minute they see tauren stumps, you can expect air.

Tier 3 air does magic damage, so that means that tauren take 200% damage. Tauren move very slow as well.

And casters also counter tauren very well. Say there's 3 tauren and their equivalent, 5 grunts (same food). 3 Tauren only need 3 cripples to reduce them effectively. 5 Grunts however need 5 cripples. But the same could be applied to buffs. You need less bloodlusts for tauren than grunts.

Anyway, if they ARE using debuffs and you DO bring out walkers, tier 3 air will own you again. Walker's banish mode takes 133% from magic damage as well.

Tauren sound good, but realistically, I don't see them around.

They lack an air attack. They require tier 3 to be made. Debuffs work very well on them. They can be possessed. They are slow. Tier 3 air rapes them. Against masses of land units, they really own, but like against Ultralisks, nobody usually does.

[glow=black]Yea, but like I said, it is unpractical, and if you were playing AT or RT, you would have your ally cover air for you. If you played Solo and managed to get this, I would say get some Batriders and Raiders...[/glow][glow=black]

Tauren sound good, but realistically, I don't see them around.
That may be the case in Solo (as I dont play Solo...i know NOOB), but at least in RT and AT, Tauren have saved me in SOOO many games, I personally think that Tauren are extremely dependable units, they cost only 280 gold, and pack a crapload, especially with Ancesetral Spirit....sigh

but ****in three heroes i dunno cause u always have to split the xp and in an average game, wen u win a good fight, then ur heroes (the threee) wont level past like 5 because of the share xp wit ur teamates and amoing all ur heroes. i have 2 3v3 AR once adn well all had 8 heroes together, we won but are heroes were like 2,3,3,4,3,2,3,2. Which makes it very incovieniet for ur team and for urself.

I have to agree....That is really impressive. My question is...what made you come up with 72?

You can't even create 72 foots in melee. It would go beyond the 100 food limit.
