I need help with a trigger

I need help with a trigger come on pros I know you're out there

I'm trying to apply an ability to a hero. Like say I want to equip critical hit level three to my hero but I do not want it to be an ability so he can still aquire 7 abilities. Is this possible? If so can someone help me?

well, u can try giving him the ability normally, but not giving the ability a slot in his menu thing (edit the ability for button position).

I'm unfamiliar with doing that, could you specify in more of a newb map dev way? I am used to the starcraft map developer and I am learning the wc3 ft one. Its more like visual basic than the sc version. I just have to learn where everything is and how it affects what, then I'll blow the community away with my programming ideas for maps.

I program VB and C++/.net all day at work, and I play WC3 and SC all night. I love doing both, so when i get to combine the two, it's awesome. I was just needing a tutorial or something on getting started with the WC3 world editor. It will make learning the editor that much faster, if I didnt have to test and bug every option in it. So I guess what I'm asking is, where to find a tutorial that helps with the basics of the WC3 World Editor? I've been playing around with it for about 4 hours total and learning quite abit, but I'm one of those type of people that likes to learn all they can in as short amount of time as possible.

hey, ur problem i think u can solve by doing what xorcist said....in the ability editor, click on ur ability and check one of the first things there is...its called buttom position....i guess..its based on x, y positions!! i thin u just need to put 0 on all, so the ability wont show up...but it will work .cause is passive!!!
try it!
