A couple of sunkens will usually be enough to fend off a marine drop. Either that or a lurker.

But your better off with MORE than one lurker since 8 rines can fit in one dropship, besides you'll have spore colonies to shoot them
away. Besides use your reserve units you're building for offense and that's the end of that chapter.

Watch it, if it is a comp player you are facing. They will have comsats to sweep for lurkers and will try to destroy them, but about 90% of the time, they dead when the land since they land one by one.

Yea, I agree with Reign. Just get a couple spores on the outside of your base and some lurks to back em up. when they land they dead! (Thats if they even get to land ;)!)

Depends on what they drop. If they drop like 10 reavers, you're screwed no matter what you got back there. But if they drop like 30 marines, then yeah, a few lurks should do the trick

But Terran barely goes for air in TvZ(except sv, ds)(mainly ground- m&m, tanks) and really, 1 spore is enough for 1 expo b/c i never saw a terran player who drops with 2ships or more. 1 dropship is enough to take care of zerg expo. and spores won't save you once marines&medic are landed.

zerglings can handle tank drops because they usually siege the moment the come down. i use spores as a warning for myself.

lurkers lings and a some sunkens will do the job. if you are able to spot a drop ship get some scourges to it as quick as possible.

That is if the units that are dropped are computer controlled, a human player would not be that stupid if he is dropping 2 tanks/ship. What if there are air units too, then you need stuff like devourers or loads of mutalisks to fend off stuff like wraiths, scouts, valks, other zerg air etc

well, terran doesn't go air versus zerg with the exception of ds and SVs. Maybe the occasional wraith or valk and zerg certainly don't need devourers for either one of those.

muta > wraiths(detection isn't really an issue)
scourge or muta/socurge > valks

I'm gonna ignore the scout comment in that post.

I kind of agree, about the mutalisk part. Geminis do 1/2 damage to mutas and an army can really spread pain for all clustered wraiths
