Sounds to me like your cd is scratched beyond use. Your only choice is to buy a new one. I think you can use a burned cd to install though, but not play off the burned, maybe even play off it, not sure though.

you might want to look around for that file, im not sure if it will work but it might

oh yea another idea is to download an iso file for d2 and burn it onto a cd for yourself since you already have a cd key im assuming
