Yeah, so I got bored of Civilization IV and AOEIII, and needed a break from strategy games. Normaly it would be the time to turn to Diablo II for some short lived smashing. But at futureshop the other day looking for something to ease my video game withdraw I noticed Guildwars. I figured, "why the **** not".

So I've been messing around a bit the last few days. I have a level 7 elementalist, and am screwing around a bit. Any tips/advice would be appreciated. thanx.

Peace

Now that there are no more attribute refund points, you can try infinite skill combos (once you ascended, you can change your secondary profession ;)).

Don't you wanna know
fire for nuking (good for beginners and soloing)

water for slow and and some buffs

earth buffs mainly

air good for taking out one guy really fast, but sucks your mana dry.

fire is your best bet, it's a good beginner element and most of the spells don't cost too much.

try to find combos with other skills and don't forget about your secondary class.

I played every beta event, and bought the game the first day it came out.I reached level 20 fairly fast(one week)... and i must say... the game sucks.

Its really fun in the begining, but soon pan.... you will realize that the game has almost no features, just lvl char and grind to unlock skills for pvp =/

and pvp sucks, because the lack of diversity in items.

Anyway, thats my opinion on the game, have fun while it lasts

Sounds like how I feel about diablo. except I got to level 80 easy, and the game got really boring. It doesn't matter, I only play these games to fuel my video game addiction, but only when I lose the high I get from RTS games. Which I eventualy go back to.

FPs is like the tobbacco of video games, it's stupid and pointless.

pvp is great if you have friends that know what they are doing. My advice is capture as many skills as you can and LEARN WHAT ALL SKILLS DO, don't just focus on your own class. Nothing worse than some shithead monk standing in a chaos storm trying to keep his team alive.
