Me and two of my friends from school have been talking about getting a place after graduation. We're all going to the same college..so we figured rooming together would be awesome.

Friend 1, Brian, turns 18 in February. This kid is like a genius on computers. He could probably recite the A+ guide book thingy to you by heart. He's likely to become rich by age 25.

Friend 2, Adam, turns 18 in December. This is my anime friend. He's very skilled in English..he plans on teaching English in Japan if he can, but being an English teacher is his goal.

Then there's me. I turn 18 in June. I plan on going to college for Zoology. I'm gonna work at a zoo.

We found a place that's $500/mo. counting utilities and has a pool. (It's an apartment of course.)

The thing is..we want to do this before graduation if we can. So we planned on doing it once Brian turns 18 in February. I'll still be 17.

All I have to do is get permission from my mom and I'm moving in with them at 17, but if I can't get permission I'm waiting until I'm 18. They said either way is fine.

Btw: **** getting emancipated, lol. What the authorities don't know won't hurt them.

I'm so freaking excited about this. I can't wait.

Do any of you have plans similar to this?

Well, that is a great price for an apartment. My sister is paying much more than $500/ month. You are also spliting that with 3 people, so that is another plus. I dont have any plans after my senior year..yet. Thinking of going to a technical institute, or getting into a Culinary school.

After HS im going to the Art Institute of California for my bachelor of science degree in video game art/design/programming and during that I'll be renting my grandparents guest house.... meh

Hmm. I have spoken to Shadow1psc2k about similar stuff to this. With my GF backstabbing me, I will be in California for longer then I thought, Shadow1psc2k is VERY smart, and he is currently learning Grahpics and Game Design. I figure I can chill with him and stuff, I don't have much else to do after Graduation. BTW Jason, you have a nice plan there. I hope it all goes well.

Everyone I know (good friends and aquaintences alike) have ideas like this. Hell, since like grade 3 we've been talking about get our own place. There isn't much stopping us besides the places my friends go for college and university, but it seems like most of them are staying in town. I see many parties ahead.. .

After this year me and two kids are moving in together. You see UCONN, is 20 mins away from my house and my parents are moving back to NY, so my dad said if i go to UCONN i can keep the house and they will move back. So yeah, iam prolly all gonna stay in my casa. But thats just the plan.

My cousin did this during the summer, he turned 19 in July, and is now in his first year in college, he said it was the best summer of his life...good plan, I hoope I can do that someday.

I'm actually in my freshman year of college now and after this first semester i'm leaving PSB and either going to Western Michigan or somewhere close to home. I need to get away whether i'm alone or not. Can't stand it.

Hm... unfortunately, there's very little living space between my little town and the college. Plus, most people going to the college are just gonna go there to get their general ed out of the way so that they can go to college somewhere else anway.

However, next year, when the (now juniors) graduate, a bunch of my friends plan on filling up a couple minivans for a road trip to New Orleans. If that doesn't fly, I have a friend that wants to find out if any of us would be able to come with him to Hawaii for a couple weeks.

I'm going to be moving out and far away from my parents soon. A little scary but yet it'll allow me more breathing space on a daily basis, even though it means being responsible for myself. It's one of those turning points where you still respect your parents but yet you need your own space that they still invade.

Hopin to go to USC, maybe with a friend of mine, not sure if she will choose to go there, or if either of us will get in.
otherwise, UC Irvine or Davis, or Embry-Riddle, an aerospace school.

yeah, aerospace engineering is what im looking at now. with minors in biology and criminal law lol.

After two years more, I'll be off to University. I have to apply soon though. Two places where education is free and it looks good - Germany and Sweden, though I hate to learn another language (I have 4 under my belt right now).

Alternatively, there are some Universities in England that will take me as a local student so it's not so bad. And I can stay with my relatives there or a dormitory.
