I am having trouble logging on to battle.net. In fact I cannot connect at all I cannot pass the gateway and I get an error message that says I may need to manually connect to the internet first or I may be trying to connect to a server that is down or not there. I know my internet works so I do not think that can be the problem I can use instant messager and internet explorer. I can play regular starcraft games like single player same on brood war but i cannot connect to U.S. East or any other gateways. We have a network in my house but it has never been a problem before. It just stopped connecting about two days ago. None of the other gateways work either. I have allready mailed blizzard. The battle.net site is down. I dunno whats wrong. what should i do???????

Go to tech support on us west. o wait, you cant, lol. Download the diablo 1 demo from blizzard's website. then... try connecting to bnet from that, onto USwest, and go into "Blizzard tech support, from 10AM to 12PM, or 2pm to 6pm pacific time on weekdays, and then wait your turn in line to talk to one of the blizzard reps. They know almost every problem out there. Could be your ISP though, if they changed their settings.

Um... It sounds like you have a server problem. Try connecting to another sever, that shud do it. I think some programs here might help you.

They all work... I just checked. Did you notice those LITTLE icons to the right? Two arrows pointing down? Try clicking them... You might just download something...

What you are running into is EXACTLY what I ran into about a month ago.

Bnet said it wasn't them, they said go to my local ISP techs.

My local techs said it wasn't them, go back to Bnet.

The best idea from my local ISP after the basic run around was, somewhere in between me, and Bnet is a routing server, that may have a bug. In time it will show up on a diagnostic as a connection that would not go through them, and it would be fixed.

Usually 12 to 24 hours later it would work, and after about 2 weeks of intermitant connections, it was corrected.

Be patient, try later, it should be fixed in time...... By some nerdy tech that doesn't understand the importance of the game, or your need for the game.

Until then create the ultimate UMS game.
