Hwo do i get rid of a keylogger

ok this guy sent me a map hack i thought it was a trojan i know this was dumb i even saw the last modification to the file was 2002 but any way i scaned the file nothing then i sanced the exe ntohing then i ****in open the exe THEN my av tell s me its a torjan.keylogger i guess the guy made it hims self and ive been downloadinga bunch of av progams n zonealarm and im wondering if i still have it ive been scaning like mad crazy and he wont tell me if i have one on me or not i think there is but any way how would i find it or get rid of it it dident havea name cuz he made it him self or something i dono yea how do i get rid of it and find it

Here's what you do, Throw your computer out the window and hope the virus is scared of dyeing and it'll run away, no seriously
Just post it in an attachment here and have a mod scan it.

He just told us that he had already ran the file and that his scanner detected a threat. There's nothing WE can do now.

Try scanning your pc with online scanners but I'm not sure if it will get rid of it.

If nothing helps, format your hdd and re-install windows.

all i can say is good luck never had much success getting rid of keyloggers totally without dumping everything : / but then again i never asked for help.

Please don't post links to sites that contain trojans and other hacking tools like downloaders and all that...

I also somehow got a keylogger which I was unaware of untill Spyware Doctor detected it. It's tryign to send out info every 10 minutes but Spyware Doctor blocks it. Download it from download.com and search for spyware doctor. The bad thing about Spyware Doctor is that it won't remove it unless you buy it . At least it blocks the keylogger. Also, if I know where the keylogger is, can I delete the file it's in and remove it?

yea i had that i had a crack it was ok dident find a keylogger but the pgrom the guuy was useing mutilpyed after u delted it went to reg and shit like that so i wasent sure but just to be safe i restored

some trojans have a feature that once the trojan has installed itself it will automatically scan the processes every few seconds and kill antivirus/firewall processes. They can also have multiple restart methods, basically your best bet is to reformat.
