Huge Problem Experienced help needed....

I play a mod on diablo and i just made this huge ass item... like im talking big.. so i got to put a jewel in to add even more stats and boom it crashes.. i cant even see the armor anymore, whenever i put the cursor over it the game crashes... is there any way to get around this.... cause it is sitting in my inv and i cant move it... what can i do, to prevent the gaming from crashing whenever i go over this item...

your total item stats (all your items) cannot go over 255. You have bugged the item and pretty much ****ed up your character, good job. If you can manage somehow to get the item in your cube, throw a hel rune and a tp scroll in it and you can empty it.

yeah, too much crap on an item makes d2 crash on mouseover. Another thing that causes this is creating wierd skill charges or proc effects, like Baal's nova, Ghoul Lord meteor, etc. Just go in your editor, edit the item, and take a few stats off which seem way too out of the ordinary.

or just try to drop it and leave the game. of course if the game really is dieing cuz of it follow mists advice.

i cant go in and drop it in a game, whenever i put the cursor over it BAM diablo crashes..... and I play this mod on a server, so its pretty much closed battle net that runs off some guys computer instead of a battle net server..... but what editor would I have to use, if I could get the character file? could you post a link to it.... also with other items, sometimes it just doesnt show the stats.. it just has a shield... or armor or whatever etc... So pretty much what you guys are telling me, is that my character is ****ed... and I will never be able to move that item out of the inventory?

no. use the same editor as b4, or maybe you can do it with zonfire. you can find that at www.ladderhall.com

i tried with zonfire, but i play on a mod and that doesnt recognize half the things it in, lik ethe bigger stash and inv, i tried it on a trial char, and after i was done i couldnt even go into games..... Is there another way?

I think your character is pretty much ****ed.

if you cant hover over it try picking up another item and swirching spots by hovering over it and clicking.i had to do that for a mod a few times because they didnt get a few items right

What? well i hope its single player cuz closed is meant for non hackers. if you hack on closed it ruins the game for most people.

its closed on a private server... and its on a mod.....
