I've always used mIRC, I first used it for playing Magic : The Gathering online. Then I started writing scripts for it. Well basically mIRC is awesome.

Or, perhaps they're online, but they had a bit of an IP change, and forgot to update things...



On a side note, I uploaded a java-based IRC client to a website to auto-connect to the server and join the channel. It is in no way official, and its hosted on the only free, php-enabled, no-ads host I could find for now. The host is somewhat slow (dial-up users probably won't notice this).

note that it is unofficial. SO unofficial, that if necassary, I'll destroy it, and give the accounts on the host and .tk to the proper, "authority"...

unfortunately, it does not work properly right now, because there is no server


(IRC client is PJIRC, surrounding stuff is a red box with a shadow, bevel, and 1 pixel black stroke. By me :rolleyes )

Can people hack you if your on mIRC? They can see your ip....cant someone hack you with that?

Umm...not exactly...

Of course, to "hack" (lol) someone, you'll likely need their IP.

There's not much you can do with an IP alone though - unless you happen to be one of the more intelligent people that realises trojans are for morons.

You could ping them alot or something...lol
