How to I build over the supply limit

I have StarForge, and every time I alter the number of sprites and units, it still defaults back to StarCraft's rules.

I want to be able to build more units than 200 per team. Is there any way to do this, without literally altering the game's engine? I can't find ANY instructions on how to do this.

Hopefully one of those methods helps you. Otherwise, if you want to literally change the supply limit, you'll need to create a mod.

How do I create a mod?

PS..this would be for UMS maps.

This is covered by the hacking forum, not the UMS forum, so I have no idea, to be honest. However, I believe Lord of Nukes has experience making mods, or at least the base knowledge needed to make them, so you might PM him with an inquiry on the subject.

Just so you know, mods aren't really plausible for any map you intend to be mainstream. Mods don't download with your map, and in order for anyone to play the map properly, everyone who joins the game will have to have the mod downloaded. Therefore, you'd have to distribute the mod outside of SC to every participant beforehand, and then play privately with them on bnet. It's a real pain, and usually not worth the effort.

However, if you're intent on doing it that way, feel free to ask Lord of Nukes about it, and in the meantime, you can inquire further about it at the hacking forum. I hope that's of some help to you.

If I remember correctly, which I don't, placing a pylon for player 166 on the map will increase the max supply limit for player 1.

The 1.13f patch changed the memory addresses, so extended units, extended players, and EUD conditions will have new effects and need to be re-researched, .

speedking9, I'm making a mod for someone else where all the supply counts are cut in half (Marine = .5 supply, Battlecruiser = 3, Overlord provides 4, etc.). I could give you a link when I'm done. If you do that though, you can only play the mod with other people who have it.
