How to get untagged? Please help me

somehow i got tagged, but i use only JED. that is really annoying
now i heard that if you are tagged (not flagged), the information that you are tagged is stored only on your local pc. what files do i have to change in order to be able to join legit games again?

please help me! please reply even if you dont know much, cause any hint could help

2 options.. Reinstall D2 ( this suposedly works not sure ) ... Reinstall Windows ( whipes Registery ) ... Format - heh man that would suck.

just out of curiosity, when you re-install d2... what are the files that are saved? arent those your characters? why do you save them anyway?

Uh, I think those "Hide Porno from your family" things'd work but theyre 50$... they just wipe ur registry, and you CAN add your d2 shit too

just sit back and wait till your ass gets untagged it will take a long time but you will get untagged it goes to 10 mins to like 3 days...so dont worry you can live without diablo 2 for awhile

Go to the start menu, select run, type "regedt32" w/o quotes. Registry Editor for 32 bit programs should open (after you click ok first, sheesh ) Use the find function to find any and all refrences to Diablo 2. Look for something to the effect of tagged or tag duration and delete that key. Hope that helps

no, that didnt help (i have already done it before)
i completely uninstalled (also the directory) and deleted all blizzard, diablo and battle.net entries in the registry - i am still tagged.

i also changed the network info and chose another name during the installation of d2
i also didnt use the old account, but i made a new one - i am still tagged

if that doesnt work, try regedit. use same route to regedt32 to get to this one (IE run, type regedit, ok, sheesh )
