Hey i have made many turret d maps and canoon d maps but i was wondering... What is the trigger or triggers used to enable players to turn their lights on and off in game? How do you keep the lights on over the civilians? I use both starcraft x-tra editor pro and starforge. Any help would be great!

Stacking is easy, turn off the lights, build in the same place.

There is only one way to keep the lights on over the civilians... (included in the triggers is how to turn the lights on and off)

You need to setup your triggers like so... (this has four human players and two computers, Player 5 is enemy, Player 6 is allied)

Players
Player 6
Conditions
Always
Actions
Execute AI script 'Turn On Shared Vision for Player 1'
Execute AI script 'Turn On Shared Vision for Player 2'

Preserve trigger

Execute AI script 'Turn OFF Shared Vision for Player 1'
Execute AI script 'Turn OFF Shared Vision for Player 2'

Those three triggers should work just fine. If you want to be able to see your Civilians, they MUST be away from the path(s) so that a Map Revealer placed for Player 6 does NOT show any of the path. Player 6 should NOT control anything else in the map.

OK i tried those triggers in starcraft x tra editor and i can turn the lights on and off but only if i have hotkeyed my civilian:frustrate. I have 4 players (1,2,3,4) and 1 enemy player 5.I also have player 6 as my nuetral player that controls the nuetral units you select to buy. I want the players to be able to turn off the lights but not over the civs and when the monsters are spawned i want them to creat an area around them that lights up like in spawn d so that the turrets will attack when the units come near. Can some one tell me what the exact triggers are to do this and what i shopuild place on the map??!! i new to this lights on/off so dont use big words :wasted . What would be better is if some one could make a map with the triggers and send it to me at zach_902@hotmail.com ! But make sure i cn open it of corse.... thanks

Make it so the computer gives you vision. When it comes near, you'll be able to see again and your buildigns will fight back. Put a Map Revealer or unit for the computer near your Civilian so you don't have to hotkey it to see it.

You need to place it for the Nuetral PC(HOWEVER, this PC should be allied with the players) Before you change its allied status, try placing the map revealer for it, setup the shared vision trigger, and see if that works. If that doesn't, change the Nuetral PC's allied status to allied to human players, try it then. If it still doesn't work, send me the map via E-Mail (address is in my profile) and I'll do the triggers for you and send it back so you can see how it is done. If you would rather learn on your own, you can contact me on any of the IM accounts in my profile for more help.

I want the enimie coomputer (player 5) to create an area around it that lights up when it spawns so that if the players are still in stack mode the buildings will fight back!!!!:spam :spam:blah:hbut

What you do is make the enemies you are trying to block ally vision the players, and have map revealers near the civs to do both things at once.

That's all there is to it.

Posts 2, 4, and 6 give you the information you need to enable stacking while still being able to have vision of your Civilian. It would be best to analyze the intstructions and try to do it yourself, otherwise you won't remember it for the next time you need it and you'll progress more slowly as a map maker.

How to ally a computer?

Hey i was wondering... How do you get a nuetral computer to allie your human players? And for the sake of stacking how do you get the enimie computer to share its vision with the human players but not ally so that the human players buildings will attack? :rockon

L

Laharl

1. Set alliance status for the computer player

2. I'll check on it when I get time, but I'm fairly sure it's one of the AI Scripts (Not at location). Again as the computer, for the player.

That should do it.

THE NUETRAL PC MUST BE IN ITS OWN FORCE!

If you still don't get it. That is your problem. I have given you all the information you need to make it work.

LOL srry... I made a new version of the map so it isnt mesed up. Aka it will open in starforge or in x-tra editor. I have sent it to you but there are some changes... players 1-6 are human player 7 is enemy and player 8 is nuetral. With this map though you can delte anything you want if it interfers with the stacking. I have sent it to your @adelphia account.:acclaim
