Hey,

I usto have a site bookmarked and it was all green... it offered sc tutorials but I cant find it anymore.

One thing it had was a square you can copy and paste (like the ones you use to change color or text) and it would auto center your text in the middle of the screen. Does anyone know where I can get this now?

All green you say? Only SC related site I know that is all green is StarEdit Network.

You can also "center" text by using StarCraft X-tra Editor 2.5, it is the '0 back' mark seen here...

...Although, with patch 1.14, it seems that the text colors don't want to work in the forces menu. Say you put the Red mark infront of Force 1, when you start the game in Multi-player mode, Force 1 is still that annoying green color and not red. Good news is though, the color marks still work in the rest of the areas, Unit names, Briefings, and Text Messages in triggers.

Hope that helps.

I found it... its at

www.staredit.net the site you said but it works not.. I found it in my favotires and remebered you mentioned it. Its under Text Formatting. the square is "" and it will auto center your text in the middle of the screen for you.

Thanks anyways,

It doesn't work anymore. When Blizzard introduced 114, they replaced many of the marks you could use to modify text. The Center and RIght Align characters were both replaced and can no longer be used. You have to do it manually with tabs I'm afraid. T_T You can use Ctrl+Tab to place a Tab indent in StarEdit text, or you can Tab in Notepad and copy/paste.

Yes, they are for overlapping text. HOWEVER, if you use just the "0 back" mark, it WILL center the text. I should know, I've been using it for a long time.

I disagree. The maps I've made so far have worked on the 1.14 patch. Granted, the color codes don't work in the Forces area, but as far as the rest goes, they work just fine.

Yea...

I hope it works, im sure the color still works just not in forces... which is crap. Why does blizzard mess with things like that.. sure fix the glitches and hacks, but not the stuff that doesn't do anything but give map makers more options to play with.

You can still overlap text for unit description and "display text message" triggers, just not in scenario title or forces. And yes, the "Back" character can be used to center text (in game).

SCxe is picky when it comes to certain attributes. Improper unit placement, placeing sprites or "special" units, and changing players default colors are few basic examples of things SCex will remove/reset. I suggest setting the terrain and triggers completely up, then making last minute tweaks with scmd2 or starforge. Oh, by the way, in scmd2, insert <C> in front of the text you want centered.
