I saw alot of questions about "How to become a hacker? So i just look up on www.astalavista.com and i found such a nice and helpful explanation on this question. So just check it out maybe it will help you become a real "good" hacker.

I agree with ya man many people who chill at this forum just interesting in "how to dupe" , "how to make iths" etc. But this tutorial teaches ho to behave ,how to be the hacker ,what should i do first to become a hacker.

lol no offense but IMO i don't think you can become a good hacker by reading someone's "how to become a hacker" tutorial. Sure it's a first step, but do u think a real hacker would write such a thing? Hacking requires programming knowledge, and most the time they know a lot of people or have good connections. They know how the system works, so therefore they can find flaws and then exploit them. There is no "correct/incorrect" way to become a hacker, and there is not a set definition as to what a "real" hacker is.

And also, i'm wondering what you would consider as a "real" hacker??

well
there are a few definitions:
a scriptkiddie: a kid that uses 3rd party exploits to hack into *nix servers
a hacker: 2 types - the one who finds the flaws\holes in a piece of code, and the one who writes the exploit for that specific flaw\hole (most hackers do both)

basicly when I said real hacking I was reffering to hacking *nix servers, and not some d2 thingy

being a hacker is being manipulative
going in the different way before going in the obvious way

a script kiddie isn't a hacker

oh and ya, you were right, you can't become a good hacker by reading this tutorial... you gotta read technical tutorial on how the memory stack looks like, and how to overflow a buffer the right way you gotta know 'da-shit', first you gotta get some programming skills and then learn how to write real exploits

Can't you at least get remotely close by talking about white/black hackers? You just narrowed it to one category sometimes related to hackers, and split that in half.

being a hacker is a dedication, a desire, a yearning to learn from others and yourself. Computers are just a side-effect.
