I'm writing that as kind of a birthday present to myself. It is a remix of about 4-5 of the best songs that I've writin...I'm not quite done and I haven't even had a chance to make it sound as good as I want it...just kinda curious what you guys think of it so far.

I like the beginning. About halfway through the fact that it's a .midi file begins to make itself painfully clear though.

I think the fact that it's not an "uber l33t" mp3 or something is going to stop a lot of people from listening to it all the way through, but I'd see about expanding on the first part. I found I liked that better than the rest.

Just my silly opinion though. Not like I could make anything at all myself. :p

Reminds me of music from a vide game call Aeroassault... I think that was it. I think its pretty good, I had trouble sitting through the entire thing though

It's huge. And I was wondering why my sound was broke, untill I realized the phones were plugged in... Bah...

Anyway, it sounds like a video game music, in some ways.

And I don't have time to hear it all, sorry :(

Haha, thats fine :) It's a 7 minute song so far, which I was intending for it to be long just because it is a mix of a lot of my songs.

As for it being an mp3, I don't have the resources to get an mp3 converter to make put it into different soundfonts at the moment, and I also don't have my own personal band with the talent to record all of that :D

Thanks :)

One thing I forgot to mention, for those who don't really want to listen because I never really said what kind of music it is...

Well, IMO, I'm rather innovative about that, I am coming up with my own style of music that would probably be best described as "Metal Fusion", or the mixture of Metal and Jazz.

jd, mine always converts to Channel 1 (Grand Piano) upon compilation. Any idea why? :(

On the other hand, great work.

But here's a good MIDI. It's not mine, so don't spread it. :D

About your problem, what program do you use? In most programs, it will give you the option to set it as either seperate channels, single channel, or snare map. Set it for seperate. I use Finale 2002 (that little $800 program made for sheet music...)...so I dunno if I can help you much =/

I use Logic Platinum 3 - I didn't know which one to get so I chose at random. First thing it did screwed up my CD burner. :(

First, though, I need to set up my MIDI output driver properly. Now I'm not getting ANY output in the saved .mid.

That might just be in your sound card properties. Make sure that your midi output is set up for "Microsoft GM" instead of anything else unless you use a specific sound font.
