Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but, I would like to know if this is a decent build or not. So technically it is a discussion ... right?
Thought about this one a bit, and designed it to have all elemental damages, as well as physical.
Fire:
1 into:
Fire Bolt, Fire Ball, Enchant, Warmth, Fire Mastery
Lightning:
1 into:
Charge Bolt, Telekinesis, Lightning, Chain Lightning, Teleport, Nova, Static Field
Cold:
1 into:
Frozen Armor, Ice Bolt, Ice Blast, Frozen Nova, Glacial Spike, Blizzard
Main Skills:
20 into:
Frozen Orb, (main skill) Thunderstorm, (for Immunes and a prebuffer) Cold & Lightning Mastery.
All remaining skill points into a fire skill of your choice (enchant would work well on a merc)
Stats: (same as most sorc builds)
Str - enough for gear (about 90)
Dex - about 50% block
Life - all rest
Energy - none
Gear:
Helm - Nightwing's Veil (5/5 cold die facet)
Armor - Chains of Honor
Weapon - Heart of the Oak / Call to Arms (on switch)
Shield - Phoenix / Spirit Monarch (on switch)
Gloves - Magefist
Boots - Silkweave
Belt - Arachnid Mesh
Rings - 2x Stone of Jordan
Amulet - Mara's Kaleidoscope (maybe metalgrid)
Charms:
Annihilus, Sorc Torch, +1 skillers, rest are resist and life
Merc: Act 2 Prayer
Gear: Insight, Gaze (5/5 poison die facet), Fortitude
Here is how it works.
Before battle cast Battle Orders, (from Call to arms on switch) Frozen Armor, (recast as needed) cast thunderstorm (recast as needed), Enchant merc, and off you go.
Your merc will give insane regen on life & mana. While he does fire,(enchant) poison,(die Facet) & physical damage, you will do Cold (frozen orb) and lightning (thunderstorm)
