How do you play replays? its not workin for me

how do you play replays? do i save it as a .mov or something? or is it different from that? please tell.

LOL. Put the replay with its *.w3g in the replays folder (or a subfolder of that), which is in your WarCraft III directory (if you saved the replay of one of your own games its already there). Now, open WarCraft III, and click Single Player -> View Replay. Now, simply choose the replay you want and start it!

You need to have the same patch version as the replay as well.
