How do u compress

hello all,
i want to post some images here but when i scan my pictures, they're like 11 mb files.... in jpg too

i was wondering how can i make the file size a lot smaller


(btw, another smaller question, can u color pencil art in photoshop w/o inking it into line?)

Open up Photoshop, scale the picture down (they are probably at 300 dpi since you scanned them, drop them down to 72). If that doesn't do the trick, save as JPG and just lower the quality.

how do u exactly "scale down"

what commands do i press
its nice if you gimme a simple procedure such as file>open>blah>blah

Image > Image Size.

Change it from there.

Actually, an even easier way is to open up MSPaint and just re-save as. You lose a lot less quality that way.

Yeah, but I'm guessing his pictures are just huge. They quality is probably fine. A decently sized JPG, no matter how many colors, wont be 11mb. Things that are scanned in are usually too large.
