How Can I Use Starforge 2.0??? It Won"t Work For Me

starforge won't work for me.. it keeps saying error file not found 53. or 52 or something like that. and i'm sure i downloaded all of the files. i downloaded starforge from this thread. http://www.battleforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=15582
so people PLEASE HELP ME I NEED THIS EDITOR FOR AN RPG I AM WOKRING ON!

This happened because you moved your exe after you intalled it.

Move your StarForge.exe back to the folder it started in. If you want a shortcut to it you need to right click the icon and go to "create short cut"

hmm thats strange. i did move it true. but then i reinstalled it a couple times. but the same thing kept on happining.

If you moved the exe to your desktop...then just clicked on the exe that was on your desktop again after you reinstalled will not fix it. (Aint sure if u did this or not).

Go into your starforge directory and click on starforge.exe there...Otherwize you dont have the vb6 runtime filles.... etc...

meh.... i dunno. i i think... himm maybe i dunno i'm sure i downloaded all the required files.. i did download 2.0 though. might that have anything to do weith this?

I think Heimdal (Starforge creator) has run into this problem...

The common controls on his webpage is not needed for StarForge 2. Try deleteing everything Starforge related on your computer.

Add/Remove Programes Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. then remove StarForge (and all copies)

Delete SF off your harddrive (if add remove didn't do it)

Delete the Registrary for StarForge
Start > Run
type in "regedit" > ok
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE
Select the starforge folder and press delete

Lastly redownload SF and reinstall. Don't move any files.
