Most of you probably have noticed the multiplying of spam bots for d2 online store sites. And when u visit these sites you will see that all their items are MASS duped (as they have items with P stats in an endless supply). Blizzard has always had a zero-tolerance for third party programms; some of which will get u banned immediatly.

Now all these bots spamming up the chat on battlenet should normally piss of Blizz staff team (for these bots must cause the servers to lag a little and Blizzard prolly get tons of mail from pissed of people like me about the bots).

Now, what im thinking is that all these d2 store sites get a special permission from Blizzard to use their dupes and bots for a monthly fee. In order to keep the stores up and running Blizzard will slowly start deleting all the items that they sell (with rust storm) in order to keep the sales up as people demand more of their stuff.

Now you guys are probably thinking that this couldnt be since Blizzard could simply make their own stores. But they are busy people (hopefully working on diablo 3) so why not allow these d2 store people to make them money? Remember that Battlenet. is free of charge. maybe this is a way to keep the servers running or even make them a couple of extra Pesos on the side. Iono but thats probably my explanation of all these "Tolerated Spam Bots and d2 Store sites".

If anyone else has a good input on this im open to suggestions!

I honestly don't think the Blizzard cares to much about these bots running around anymore. In the past they used to have those rust storms and such but these days I just think they have their sights set on other projects rather than policing this old game.

I haven't heard of anyone losing their accounts due to MH or other hacks since the latest patch.

Maybe Blizzard can't control the bots, who knows, I just don't think they care about it anymore.

its not worth their time or money to police it, they got over it.
Exactly. Evidently, it's destined to rot and decay until few people play it. Although Diablo I suffered that fate quite well, Diablo II will take a larger amount of time to fall dude ot it's addictive nature.

well what im saying is that blizz is actually making money of the servers (or at least is covering the cost) by charging diablo 2 internet stores a fee for them to use dupe programms and so forth. well.... at least thats wut i would do!

they arent ran by blizzard... they cant really be detected and if they can they are extremely hard... consider trying to detect key strokes and mouse movements and such
